Yes, it's shameless childishness, Angry Medic. But nonetheless I cheered for you guys when I heard it on the news - like last week?

it is very apt, after the squabble in the comments of your previous post, to include a post on cambridge superiority. i'm loving it.

to add to that, you are, quite simply, brilliant, mr angry medic. may you live long and prosper, having numerous offspring with your complexion and one huge eye.

You're a rower?

wooo go Cambridge.
Shame they didn't win it last year when I actually went to watch it! grrr.

Why are these guys in water?

angry medic! go rowing! :)

Dan: Is nice! I like!

Argus Lou: I know, I know, it was real slow of me. But hey, news diffuses slow here. PLUS then it has to diffuse into my brain, which takes even MORE time...

Anonymous 1: Oh come on, Anon, you know I didn't mean to grandstand. It just feels good after how horribly we lost last year. And besides there's nothing about superiority in there; some in Oxford don't consider Cambridge in the same league as themselves, so technically it's Oxford vs Rest Of World. Everyone loves a Cambridge victory :)

Anonymous 2: Oh heck no. Rowing, me? Get up at 5am, me? :)

Little Medic: You went to watch last year's? I nearly went, and this year the exam blues got me. But yeah, it would've been great to actually BE there, wouldn't it?

There's always next year. *crosses fingers*

Shrinked Immaculate: Whoops, sorry, I should have provided some explanation. That's a picture of Cambridge winning the annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge. It's held every year and is (we like to think) a major sporting event in Britain. Last year we lost horrible due to the fantastic foresight of our coach, who forgot to put any water pumps in the boat (Oxford had four). Makes this year's victory all the sweeter :) Click on the picture for the news report.

Little Girl: little girl! go do some work!

Hmm...a boat race eh? Is there a girl's team? With white T-shirts?
*evil grin*

Btw, I didn't change my blog add; it's still the old one. I'll have a new one once my webhost fixes the server downtime problems. Grrr....

On the subject of Cambridge, but otherwise completely unconnected to your post so I do apologise, when does the summer term end?

I'm heading down for a few days in July for College Open Days. Just wondered.

If this was Malaysia, we could have hoped for an extra day of holidays...

Somehow, I feel that this event does not actually affects us in any way. Do rowers get bonus points in exams?

Anonymous said...

eugene, it doesn't affect you because you are not in it. you have not tasted what it means to beat the scum and claim victory.

winning is everything.

Funny, that's what I always thought people who went to Cambridge looked like.

By the way, I know you supported the red nose day event, here's something which you should be pleased with.

Yay for Cambridge!!! (If only cos I visited it once and fell in love with the river instead of falling into it...)

Jason: Ooh, bad boy! And yes, there are LOADS of women's rowing teams. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your taste) they wear spandex... ;)

Esme: Uhm...I think our summer term (and by that I hope you mean Easter Term) ends after exams around the 20th of June or so (very approximate date). Make sure you stop by Jesus, if only to see the horse!

Row row row your boat,
Quickly down the stream,
Hurriedly,rapidly,hastily,speedily
Cam's got Oxford creamed!

i just noticed, the picture in your previous post, you mysteriously sprouted another eye, whereas you're cyclops on ur banner..

The Angry Medic said...

Little Girl: Because you're just a little girl and don't know anything about the complex physics required to keep a boat afloat. Now get back to your bed in Queens' and go to sleep. Good girl. *pat pat*

Kenny Mah: Whoops. No mate, didn't get your email yet. Any ideas why? It IS angrymedic [at] gmail [dot] com

Dr Deb: It WAS fun watching, but definitely not to be rowing. I like my arms attached to my shoulders, thanks :)

Bohemian: You're ALIVE!

Quiet Storm: You're ALSO alive! I dreamt about you last night, you know. For some reason you had a fetish for green clothes and were a doting hostess (I was visiting. For whatever reason.) Quit haunting my dreams! :)

Anon: Nope, look carefully. It's still the same one eye. (It's the same Cyclops too. I have tons of pictures of it to use.)
